CEA, KOCCA, and South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Announce the Success of “Series on Board 2026” Generating 180 Business Meetings and Expanding Opportunities

The Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) or CEA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), announced the success of Series on Board 2026, held as part of the Bangkok International Content Market 2026 (BICM2026) under Thailand Content Market 2026 (TCM2026), a collaboration between CEA and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP). Held on 20 - 21 July 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, the event provided a platform connecting leading South Korean content producers with Thai and international entrepreneurs, investors, and creative professionals. The event generated 180 business meetings between South Korean content producers and buyers, investors, and industry players from Thailand and overseas, with 41 buyer companies participating. The results highlight growing business opportunities and the potential for international collaboration across the content industry.
Series on Board is a business platform designed to create trade and investment opportunities in the content industry through content licensing, co-production, remake rights, and business partnerships among content industry players. Now in its second consecutive year, Series on Board marks an important milestone in collaboration between CEA and KOCCA, as well as between South Korean content producers and Thailand’s content industry network. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to advancing international collaboration in intellectual property (IP), talent development, and the global expansion of Thai and South Korean creative content. A total of 12 leading South Korean content production companies participated, showcasing projects across two major categories:
-
Scripted Content, including series, films, and dramas
Unscripted Content, including variety shows and documentaries
The participating companies presented their projects and business potential to streaming platforms, television broadcasters, content production companies, investors, and industry professionals from Thailand and overseas, creating opportunities for content licensing, investment, co-production, and remake rights in new target markets.

Over the two-day event, projects from both the Scripted and Unscripted categories were presented through Project Pitching, alongside one-on-one Business Matching sessions. The event attracted 41 buyer companies and generated a total of 180 business meetings, highlighting Thailand’s potential as a regional hub for content business connections and creating tangible opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to connect with international partners.
Another key outcome was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between CONTENTS SERO of South Korea and S&E Syndication of Thailand. The agreement marks an important step toward strengthening business collaboration between Thai and South Korean industry players and demonstrates the potential of Series on Board to facilitate strategic partnerships that can lead to future investment and co-production opportunities.
In addition, participants from Series on Board 2026 took part in the Asian Project Pitching session at BICM2026, expanding opportunities to present their projects to investors and industry partners from across Asia. The initiative further strengthened connections between content producers and international markets while increasing opportunities to develop projects into commercially viable productions.
The collaboration between CEA and KOCCA through Series on Board 2026 underscores their shared commitment to strengthening Thailand’s content industry by building global business networks, facilitating knowledge exchange, and creating pathways for international investment. The initiative also supports Thailand’s development as a regional hub for content production, content trading, and creative collaboration, contributing to the sustainable growth of Thailand’s creative industries and enhancing their competitiveness on the global stage.
