The Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) or CEA, is set to present Bangkok Design Week 2027 (BKKDW2027) for its 10th edition from 18 - 28 February 2027, under the theme “DESIGN TO LAST.” The 10th-anniversary edition invites everyone to move beyond survival mode, look ahead, and explore new ways to design lives, careers, businesses, and cities to grow and thrive amid constant change. 

Rather than simply celebrating the journey of the past decade, BKKDW2027 marks a new direction for design in the decade ahead. “DESIGN TO LAST” is grounded in the belief that what endures is not something that remains fixed in past success or adapts merely to survive from one day to the next. Instead, it is something designed to be flexible, adaptable, expandable, and ever-evolving with changing times and contexts, while preserving its essential value.

The festival will open up spaces across Bangkok for people and businesses of all generations and disciplines to connect, exchange ideas, and build collaborative networks. It also offers new perspectives on design that go beyond addressing today’s needs — creating possibilities for the future and opening opportunities for Thai creativity to reach global audiences.

BKKDW2027 Open Call: Be Part of “DESIGN TO LAST” 

Bangkok Design Week 2027 is now accepting applications through its Open Call, inviting individuals, creative practitioners, businesses, organizations, and other interested parties to become part of the festival’s 10th edition. Participants are encouraged to present new possibilities and reflect a vision of design that is ready to adapt, grow, and evolve with a changing world. 

There are two Participation Levels:
1. Program
Join the festival as a program partner through a range of creative formats, including Showcase & Exhibition, Talk, Workshop, Event, Music & Performing, Tour, Market, and Promotion.
2. Venue
Join the festival as a venue partner by offering a space for creative programs. Venue partners are responsible for managing and operating both their programs and venues.

Taking part in Bangkok Design Week also provides an opportunity for local and international creatives and organizations to showcase their work and potential, while opening doors to new business opportunities. The festival attracts more than 400,000 visitors from Thailand and abroad each year.

Bangkok Design Week 2027 (BKKDW2027) is a platform for everyone to experiment, create, exchange, and build on ideas, while asking an important question: How can we design things to keep growing in a constantly changing world? Whether in life, cities, businesses, or society, good design does not necessarily begin with a perfect answer. It is about creating things that are ready to learn, adapt, and evolve with the future.
