Music Exchange 2026
In fiscal year 2026, the Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) or CEA, as the key government agency driving Thailand’s creative economy, continues to strengthen the country’s music industry through Music Exchange 2026, the third consecutive edition of this flagship project.
Music Exchange 2026 aims to empower Thai artists to expand into international markets by providing partial funding support for their participation in global music festivals between January and July 2026. The initiative also invites international talent selectors, music festival organizers, and agencies to connect and build business networks with Thai record labels, fostering cross-border collaborations and opportunities. By showcasing the potential of Thai artists across diverse music genres, the project seeks to amplify the Thai Music Wave, expand music exports, and generate international revenue from Thai music products — ultimately enhancing the competitiveness and global presence of Thailand’s music industry.
Main Programs
Music Exchange 2026 comprises two key programs: PUSH and PULL.
(1) PUSH: Supporting Thai Artists to Perform on Global Stages
This program provides partial lump-sum funding for approximately 40 selected artists or bands to perform at international music festivals across different regions:
- Southeast Asia: 100,000 THB
- East Asia: 250,000 THB
- South Asia, Oceania, Europe, Middle East, America and Canada: 350,000 THB
CEA is now calling for applications from Thai artists through an Open Call under the PUSH activity from 15 November 2025 to 16 May 2026. Eligible applicants will be selected to receive partial support for international performances taking place between January and July 2026.

(2) PULL: Building International Music Networks and Business Opportunities
The PULL program focuses on business networking and collaboration between international festival organizers and Thai music businesses. CEA will invite at least 10 international buyers, including artist bookers, music festival organizers, and global agencies from Southeast Asia, East Asia, and other regions, to visit Thailand for a Business Visit program. They will attend live performances of Thai artists and join the International Business Matching and Networking Event, connecting with around 40 Thai record labels, event organizers, and music entrepreneurs. The activity aims to create new business opportunities and strengthen the international presence of Thai artists and music enterprises.
