In an era where the creative economy and soft power are vital tools in global competitiveness, Thailand recognizes the need for visionary leaders who can effectively integrate creativity into organizational strategy and public policy.

The Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization), or CEA, Thailand’s leading agency for creative economy development, has initiated the Creative Economy and Soft Power Executive Leadership (SoftEx 2025) for the first time in Thailand. The program aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders from the public and private sectors with the capacity to understand the dynamics of the creative economy and soft power and to drive sustainable strategies at the organizational, city, and national levels.

Program Structure
The curriculum is divided into two core modules:

1. Creative Economy and Soft Power Foundations

  • Concepts and significance of the creative economy and soft power
  • Cultural assets and the creative industries
  • The role of government in promoting the creative economy and soft power
  • Soft power in the private sector and marketing strategies
  • Branding principles and soft power-driven marketing
  • Case studies of creative economy and soft power policies in Thailand and abroad

2. Soft Power Strategies for Sustainability

  • Creative economy and soft power for sustainable development
  • Long-term strategic soft power planning
  • Sustainable communication and brand image development
  • Impact measurement and evaluation of soft power initiatives
  • Case studies and site visits to leading creative cities in Thailand

  • Interactive lectures and Q&A sessions
  • Case study discussions from both Thai and international contexts
  • Panel discussions with leading experts
  • On-site field visits to gain real-world insights and experiences

A multidisciplinary team of renowned experts including: Dr. Surapong Suebwonglee, Dr. Chakrit Pichyangkul, Asst.Prof.Dr. Ake Pattaratanakun, Mr. Benjamin Webb, Prof.Dr. Wilert Puriwat, Assoc. Prof.Dr. Viriya Techarungroj, and other prominent figures from the public, private, and creative sectors, both domestic and international.

Program Duration and Location

  • Period: 8 August - 19 September 2025
  • Total Hours: 48 hours (1 - 2 sessions per week, 13.30 - 17.30 hrs.) 
  • Venue: Chulalongkorn University, Creative Economy Agency, Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, and other creative venues across Bangkok, including site visits to regional creative cities

Registration Fee

129,000 Baht (inclusive of site visits and VAT)
