BANGKOK DESIGN WEEK 2023

urban‘NICE’zation
4 – 12 February 2023

“Cities” have been transformed into “Megacities” as a result of economic development, which several obstacles in terms of overcrowding, the complexity of the resource management and city administration, social inequality, and environmental concerns, follow. When the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, cities all around the world, including Bangkok, were forced to implement human-centric city planning, which emphasizes a balance of economics, quality of life, and environment. This will result in a city of well-being that is prepared to face both external and internal difficulties.

For a better-balanced Bangkok, individuals from all sectors must join together to consider and devise a means to restore and turn Bangkok into the potential city of the new environment while meeting people’s needs as much as possible.

Bangkok Design Week 2023 (BKKDW2023) is the 6th festival, set to happen between 4 – 12 February 2023 under the theme “urban‘NICE’zation.” The festival is set to serve as the intellectual playground for creative people to demonstrate creative ideas in “making cities better,” along with inspiring and encouraging involved parties to come together to build Bangkok for the future.
